Women's Wilderness

Non-Profit Partner

Women’s Wilderness is a nonprofit organization committed to creating space for girls, women, and non-binary people of all ages and backgrounds to find their place, their voice, and their power in the outdoors. Founded in 1998 in Boulder Colorado, they are one of the first and only gender-informed organizations that focuses on reducing intersectional barriers to outdoor access for both youth and adults.

Why We Work Together

Outdoor Research is proud to partner with Women’s Wilderness, helping to equip their staff, volunteers, and instructors as they work to increase girls’, women’s, and non-binary people’s representation in the outdoors through their affinity spaces, overnight adventures, youth after school programming, and educational clinics in the Rocky Mountain West.

“Outdoor Research shares our belief that the outdoors is better when shared by all, and Women's Wilderness is incredibly grateful for their longstanding support of our work to redefine the way that women, girls, and non-binary people connect with nature and community. Our partnership with Outdoor Research not only helps us outfit staff and participants in high quality apparel and gear that we stand behind, but it also supports us in holding true to our founding principle of never turning away a participant facing financial need.”
